2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate
Classic Cabernet aromas of blackcurrant, dark chocolate, tobacco leaf and earth combine with lifted notes of graphite, black pepper and dried herbs. The wine is full-bodied and creamy in texture with highly polished tannins and a tremendous depth to its earthy, dark fruit flavors. Supple and densely packed tannins combine with seamless minerality to draw out the palate to a rich, long-lasting finish.

Winemaker Notes
Blue Mountain Estate Vineyard is one of the highest elevation vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley. It produces cool, dark and complex fruit profiles with rich, supple tannins. Cabernet blocks were harvested in mid-October with intense color, concentrated fruit flavors, and fully developed phenolics. Gentle handling through fermentation, followed by an extended time on skins, produced a deeply structured and expressive wine, worthy of its 12-month extended bottle maturation prior to release.

Rhone Series
Grapes native to France’s Rhône Valley are the focus of our ‘Slice of Pape’ program – our homage particularly to the blended wines of the Southern Rhône. Slice of Pape, Pape Blanc, and Pink Pape (our dry rosé) are crafted from the best of these traditional varietals. Separately and together, they offer you a New World expression of these classic Old World wines.

And finally, the cornerstones of our portfolio, we produce limited quantities of varietal wines, each focusing on a single grape. The Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah express the terroir of our Blue Mountain Vineyard in Walla Walla. The Chardonnay comes from our Celilo Vineyard in the Columbia Gorge AVA, renown for growing the finest Chardonnay in Washington State. In these wines you can taste the grape’s unique character – its aromas, flavors, texture and detail.
